HI, MY NAME IS ist der ziemlich einfallslose Titel für eine kontinuierliche Interview-Reihe mit talentierten Fotografen, Musikern, Künstlern und inspirierenden Persönlichkeiten unserer Zeit. Wow, was waren das für stimmungsvolle Shows vergangene Woche bei der Vertigo Records Nacht im Konzulát Berlin. Neben dem fantastischen Auftritt von Dua Lipa hat eine weitere talentierte, junge Künstlerin unsere Aufmerksamkeit erregt: Die aus New York stammende Sängerin Norma Jean Martine. Mittlerweile lebt und arbeitet sie in London, was natürlich wunderbar mit dem pop-rockigen Sound der Newcomerin harmoniert, wie die neue Single „Animals“ zeigt. Was uns die stimmgewaltige Sängerin und Songwriterin sonst zu erzählen hat, lest ihr jetzt im Interview:

It depends where they see me. If I’m on stage hopefully they’ll be able to feel the emotion I am transferring from my songs. If they see me in normal life they would just see an every day girl going about her business.

I have my breakfast and a coffee then normally watch a documentary or read part of a book – part of the process of educating myself☺
