Eine fotografische Reise Dokumentation der besonderen Art: „Morning Light“ nennt sich diese bezaubernde Selbstporträt-Serie von Alicia Savage aus Boston, Massachusetts. Wie der Titel bereits beschreibt, zeigt sich die 29-jährige Fine-Art Fotografin dabei beim Aufstehen während des Sonnenaufgangs und gewährt uns somit intime Einblicke in ein privates, morgendliches Ritual, das an jedem Ort der Welt zelebriert werden kann: So sind die Bilder u.a. in Barcelona, Montpellier, Mailand oder auch Halifax entstanden. Das schreibt Alicia selbst über ihre fantastischen Arbeiten:

“Morning Light” is an ongoing series examining the constant of light and self within the transition of ones space. When living in my Boston apartment, one of my favorite moments of each day was waking up to the sight of the morning light that streamed through my bedroom window. I would lie there, allowing the minutes to pass, enjoying its comfort and what it revealed of the traveling, I found myself wanting to document where I woke each morning, not realizing that I was being drawn to that same experience but rather in different surroundings.
